I like to paint with different media depending on how I feel on a particular day. I had mostly painted portraits, both people and pets, but more recently I started painting more loosely, or impressionistic or expressionist style. When you paint commissioned portraits, you must be careful and methodic in order to achieve your subject's likeness; but when painting lose, all the constraints disappear and the whole process turns out to be a really liberating experience.
